Gene Biben

Gene was President of Joseph E. Biben Sales Corporation from 1983-2020. Served as Chairman of NEMRA (National Electrical Manufacturer’s Representative Association) in 1999-2000 and a member of the NAED Education Committee in 2001. He was President of The Electrical Association of Philadelphia from 1996-98 still serving on its Executive Board. The association consists of electrical and HVAC contractors, industrials, engineers, the local utility, electrical distributors and manufacturers. He was the first manufacturer’s representative in the 88-year history of the association to serve in this position.

Under Gene's leadership, Biben Sales received The Electrical Distributor magazine’s “Top Performer” award for the Eastern Region seven times and it’s “Best of the Best” award for 1997. Biben Sales also received the IMark “Circle of Distinction" awarded for “excellence in sales and generation and development” every year since its inception, and they have won 2 Affiliated Distributors awards: the first for the best conversion with Rumsey Electric Supply and Advance Transformer Company and the second with Rumsey in 2009 for Promotions with Klein Tools. In 1996 Gene was the recipient of the Electrical Wholesaling magazine’s “GEM” award for excellence in marketing.

Gene has also served on advisory boards for Carlon, American Insulated Wire, Siemens/Talon and as the Chairman for both the rep advisory boards of Thomas & Betts, Leviton and Advance Transformer. He also served on national rep advisory boards for Affiliated Distributors, Imark and Wesco.

Gene currently serves as a Vice President for Channel Marketing Group, a consulting company for the electrical, electronic and HVAC industries.
